August 29, 2010 - Thanks to Heather Fancourt, Jim Conn and all involved with the Foothills Highland Games for a great event and super ceilidh! Now off to Calgary and Canmore this weekend to wrap up the season!

August 13, 2010 - Good luck to all my buddies competing in Glasgow at the World Pipe Band Championships this Saturday! Special shout out to all the Western Canada bands competing: Alberta Caledonia, Triumph Street, SFU, New West Police, St. Andrews, City of Regina, Edmonton Boys... bring it home, guys!
July 25, 2010 - Ryan will be at the University of Ottawa from the 27th to the 30th, performing at the Chateau Laurier on the 29th, and competing at the North American Championships in Maxville, Ontario on the 31st!
July 6, 2010 - Fort Edmonton Highland Games this Saturday! Strictly a social visit; look for me in the beer tent!

May 18, 2010 - Just finishing up Neil Peart's book "Roadshow". Great book, and I highly recommend it! Lots of great quotes on all topics, but on the topic of drums, here's my fav (Neil Peart on rehearsing):
"I was giving it everything I had, straining and sweating, and in fact, I was already playing for an audience, though they were imaginary. It is a defining trait in my character and attitude toward performing that no audience is more unforgivingly critical than an imaginary one. They knew exactly how well I was supposed to play, and whether I had or not."
May 17, 2010 - Had a great time at the Odgen Indoor P & D Competiton last Saturday! Really impressed with the level of play for this time of year; especially the grade 3 snares! Glad to see everyone has worked so hard over the winter! Thanks to Diane Muchka for organizing a great comp. and ceilidh!
